Red Ribbon Week 10/27-10/31

Dear Parents,
Morris Avenue is hosting a Red Ribbon Door Tour as a part of the 2025 Red Ribbon
Campaign. The National Red Ribbon theme this year is “Life is a Puzzle. Solve It Drug
Free.” and each classroom door will be decorated with an anti-drug message for the
students. The Morris Avenue Virtual Door Tour will allow students to view a digital
presentation of each decorated door. In addition, our PTO will host a Trunk or Treat on
Friday, October 31st and students are invited to wear appropriate costumes on that
day.
Participating in the Door Tour, Trunk or Treat, and dressing up are all completely
optional. Please contact your child’s teacher if you DO NOT want him/her to
participate in these activities.
If your child may participate, please abide by the following guidelines:
1. Notify your child’s teacher as soon as possible of any food allergies.
2. All costumes must be within the Opelika City Schools dress code.
3. All costumes must be appropriate and kid friendly.
4. NO weapons/ammunition or scary/horror/etc. costumes will be permitted.
5. NO face paint or costume masks will be permitted.
If you have questions or would like to make sure that your child’s costume is allowable,
